What is it?
CST is a gentle technique that utilizes light touch to manipulate the joints in the cranium, parts of the pelvis and the spine to treat a variety of conditions.
CranioSacral Therapy is a very gentle, light-touch approach that releases tensions in the central nervous system, so that every other system in the body can relax, self-correct, and free itself of pain and discomfort."
What to expect during a CranioSacral session
A session typically lasts 45-60 minutes. In that time you will comfortably lie on a massage table fully clothed. The focus is specifically on the cranium, spine, sacrum and coccyx to encourage a release.
Why do we use light touch?
We are approaching the Central Nervous System and CranioSacral system through the fascial network. When using light touch, the CranioSacral system is in a malleable state. This allows us to go very deep by essentially "flying under the radar" of the fascial system.
What conditions are often helped by CranioSacral therapy?
There are many conditions that can be helped through CST, some include:
Central Nervous System Disorders
Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Spinal Cord Injury
